I really like this! I loved the way you eased into the song and I think you nailed the transition from a low energy part to a high one. It passes off such a nice feeling as well! I don't have much else to say about this because I think this was done super well so 5/5 for me. Please post the one with the lyrics! Also sorry it took me like 10 years to review this.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Sorry this took me so long to get to 😅. Ok so after 0:34 I think you put the kicks in there more recently and also tone the attack down. At 1:09 - 2:34 I don't know what the lead is. It kind of feels clustered. I would say try to work on panning in this area so that lead comes thought better and it can produce a better sound quality (maybe I'm not an expert.) Maybe playing with volume as well. I love the rising ending into the cutoff of the song.

Overall I think this song is a journey. By that I mean it has a really good feeling to it that I like but I think that feeling can be expressed more if you worked on a couple of things. Really nice! Keep up the good work!

Sorry this took so long. I've been busy 😅. Not going to lie I really liked it but it felt like a entire build up so I didn't go into the song expecting the right thing. Listening to it again with the realization that there's no huge drop and it's just something to vibe to makes it much better to listen to because I know what to expect next time. I think this is a cool idea would have been to panning the clicking sound around 3:01 minutes back forth slowly. I feel like it already is panned but I can't quite tell. Maybe you could try that idea with a sub bass. Again I'm no expert on panning because I just learned it not to long ago but from my experience with it those are some ideas I have. When a slowly I mean like a slow travel of sound from one ear to the next smoothly. I know some songs do this and it it gives a good feeling imo. Again not a panning expert.

This is really good. I think you got the voice coming in very clearly without it taking away from anything behind it and although I can't understand anything it's still nice. Good job! Also you could also share with some advice you have for me on panning.

Thank you for your review!

In terms of the panning in general, it'd need stereo separation as well (to the same % value as the panning) for it to give the appearance of depth. I generally tend to pan my basses centre, then the other instruments either exactly to the specification of an orchestra, or (in the case of synths) close to that, with a mid range instrument on either side which serves the same purpose as the other, for example. Drums are mostly centre, with overheads mics to catch toms and cymbals at 20% on either side.

For the click, I needed to use panning and stereo sep *automation envelopes* — meaning that I had to do curves on the playlist and make sure that their values aligned with each other. A safe bet is Centre — 50%L — Centre — 50%R, and so on and so forth. Against a bunch of instruments occupying different frequency ranges over a wide stereo field it can be hard to tell, but if you noticed it moving from one ear to another, that's a job well done. 👍🏽

It missing that vibey feeling to it. I really think the song would benefit from more reverb as well as making the beginning just a tad bit more dynamic. I think a synth lead could have been somewhere between 1:17 and 3:50 to benefit the feeling conveyed in the song.

Overall I think the song could do a better job of bringing out the feeling in it to really make a surreal listening experience. I just feel there isn't enough to it. It's not that the feeling is not there, it's just that it's underwhelming. I wish you the best of luck in the future and I hope this was helpful!

It feels a lot more like a video game song but I think this was really well made. It reminded me of a some of the Castlevania songs. I think 3:32 was way too abrupt. I'm definitely getting some retro game vibes from it though. It's really nice. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback!

While it certainly has some potiential it doesn't really have any feeling to it. It's repetitive which is fine but there isn't much to it. Not going to lie I'm not too familiar with nerdcore but my first impression of this is that it doesn't seem like it had much to it. I don't if that is just how the genre is so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I would say try to make it more chill. How actually? I don't know.

Overall it's not bad, it just wasn't my type ya know. I definitely see potiential in it so keep it up and I wish you the best of luck!

It's very short and there's not much to it. It seems kind of repetitive and it doesn't benefit that much from the quiet parts imo.
Composition is kind of mediocre and I think you could've made it more dynamic to make it more interesting.

Overall I think there are some things that could be improved.

Holy crap I love this! You set the mood really well in the beginning. The build up to the drop was absolutely amazing. It feels so we'll put together. I think the eery sound at 2:07 is coming through a bit too much and it kind of makes a bit of a low screeching sound. It's not that bad to the point where it hurts my ears though. It's pretty minor. The build up at 2:25 felt like it was lacking something. I think if that eery sound was a more atmospheric it could give more feeling to it and make it sound really good. Again it's not bad I just feel it could be a bit better. But then it moves on to this cool drop at 2:45 that's really cool. It was a good transition to a nice burst of energy that gives a nice surreal feeling. I think you ending the song beautifully.

Overall this is amazing and it definitely deserves more attention! Good job!
